Marriage Program Great news! Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif  launched a programme that is of great importance for the girls belonging to the poor families in Pakistan. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched a mass marriage programme project of 3000 girls from poor families across Punjab. According to the project, the brides will receive 100,000 rupees through bank card as a welcome.

All these will include all her expenses about living and marriage-related as well. Moreover, there are 13 items like furniture, clothes, and tableware provided to the girls to get her married. The girls cannot get married due to the unaffordable prices of these items.
A survey held in Punjab revealed the result that many girls were facing the scenario of waiting to get married but were unable to do so due to the lack of good relationships and financial sources.

Eligibility Criteria For Dhee Rani Program
This program initiated by the government would make poor girls eligible to get married. It will make people marry and stop them from bad practices. It will make the society better and prosperous. With 100,000 rupees paid as expenses and wedding paraphernalia provided free of charge, all daughters of poor families can now get married.

The program was announced today but the registration has not yet been released. The government plans to open a portal where girls will be able to register for this program. If the number of girls who registered is more than 3,000 then these names will be included in the polls Marriage Program .

Marriage Programme Registration Process

Step-by-step procedure to register for mass marriage program

  1. Create your Account:

    First, go to the Dhee Rani portal and login using your credentials. After login then the user dashboard generates a registration form.

  2. Bride’s Details:

    Input the bride’s personal details like her name, ID number, date of birth, age, educational qualification, religion, nationality, etc. If the bride is an orphan or disabled, then ticks the corresponding option. Then click on “Save” to move forward.

  3. Bride’s Parents/Guardians Details

    The bride’s parents or guardian name and ID number, their relationship to the bride, contact, source of income, monthly income, address, and permanent residence are required as well. Then click on “Save” to proceed.

  4. Groom’s Details:

    Details about the groom, name, ID number, birth date, age, educational background, etc, have to be filled and then click “Save.” Proceed with that.

  5. Groom’s Parents/Guardian Details:

    Fill in, as you did with information about the bride’s parents, names of the groom’s parents or guardians, ID number, contact number, source of income, address, etc. Click on “Save”.

  6. Upload Document:

    Attach a photocopy of other necessary documents, which includes the bride’s and groom’s photos, parents’ photos as well, and copies of their ID. Ensure that all attached documents are clear and not mistaken. Click “Save” once it’s attached for the final process.

  7. Statutory Declaration

    Go through the affidavit. You also have to sign against the declaration that you are unmarried and that each statement made herein is true, at which stage one also confirms one’s readiness to participate in the Dhee Rani programme. After reading the declaration, confirm the contents and apply.

    After filing up the application form, the concerned government will examine your documents and details. Once you are verified, you’ll get an SMS. You can also do the same thing in the Assistant Director’s Office if you wish to.
    Therefore, this is the way to allow only eligible brides and grooms in the Dhee Rani program. Once you apply for this through the portal, then you’ll follow up on the status of the application submitted by you.

Marriage Program Dhee Rani Programme Eligibility Criteria

In order to become eligible for Dhee Rani programme, the brides need to have the following eligibility criteria:

  • Age group should be between 18 to 40 years.
  • Orphan girls and disabled daughters would be preferred.
  • Either groom or parents or guardians of bride are eligible to apply for it.
  • Both the applicant and bride are residents of Punjab state.
  • In case of over-subscription, an electronic lottery would be conducted.
  • Brides would have to submit an affidavit of intent to participate in the mass wedding and a document declaring that she is unmarried.

These criteria ensure fair participation and transparency among eligible brides.
